1) IR Emitters: SFH484-2 found at www.Marshall.com, It is the top for power to current ratio, Drive it at about 2 Amps 150 meter range with a 2 inch lens (about 2-3 dioptre) 200-300+ meters. For a grenade barrel, 1-inch lens 8-12x magnification gives a lot of spread.

2) The Frequencies: Could be found with an Oscilloscope or a Multimeter with a frequency counter. Found frequencies: 120 Hz, 170 Hz, 250Hz.

3) Original lens assembly: The curved side is faced away from the IR LED.

4) Other lens assemblies: lenses like this will produce a wide shot )( . Lenses with a shape like this will produce a straight shot large beam when the IR beam is like this: =D<(). When the same assembly is not measured and is just placed near the LED it will produce a shot where the beam will cross after passing trough the lens extending the range of the shot.

5) The color of the wires in a V2 Pistol: Red - Positive power supply Black - Negative power supply Yellow - sound White - light Green - Max blast switch Brown - Reset switch Orange - Arm switch Gray - ELS Data line

6) Adding a 2nd barrel to the Firestorm: When doing this you will need a soldering iron, A drill, 35mm Film canister, Electrical wire, Electrical tape, Wire strippers, A IR LED with a mounting bracket, sticky squares of Velcro, and a Monaural jack and plug.

Steps for adding 2nd barrel:

1) Drill a hole that is large enough to fit the Monaural jack through, in the side of the Firestorm.

2) Fit the Jack through the hole and screw the washer down to secure the jack in the gun. The hole in the jack should allow the plug to enter from the outside when the gun is reassembled.

3) Strip (do not cut) the two wires leading to the Lens assembly so that the wires are exposed. Then solder two wires to the striped wires (one on each) after soldering tape the soldered areas in the wires to avoid wires from crossing.

4) Then take the unattached ends and solder them to the two most outside tabs on the Jack. This makes the Jack parallel to the Lens assembly. 5) The firestorm is now complete. Put it back together and it is time to make the new barrel.

6) Drill a hole in the 35mm film canister for the IR LED and Mounting bracket and place them in the canister.

7) Solder wires to the plug and screw the cap onto the plug.

8) Plug the plug into the jack and measure how much wire you need to put the lens on top of the Firestorm barrel.

9) Then test the wires on which one goes to which tab on the LED

10) After finding the correct wire then twist the wires to make them manageable during play.

11) Solder the wires to the correct tab on the LED and then tape the soldered area to avoid breakage and wires crossing.

12) Place the soft Velcro side on the 35mm canister and the hooked side on the top of the Firestorm (silver) Barrel, in the "U" type crevice.

13) Now you are done just plug in, Velcro on and play. I have done this so there are 3 extra Barrels on my Firestorm, 1 in every crevice (1 top and 2 on the sides).
