We're starting a lazer tag club in Portland Oregon. We've got 4 complete WoW sets, and 4 more on the way (thank god for ebay). We all like the old style starlyte guns and equipment, and don't allow any modifications (besides sights) just to keep it even and based entirely on a person's combat skills.
One problem we've encountered is that the WoW sensors allow a player to cheat very easily. Running backwards, shooting sideways, etc. allows one to keep their sensor hidden for a good part of the game. Naturally we set up a simple rule that states that you cannot shoot if your sensor is hidden. This works decently, but sometimes a sensor will remain hidden (unavoidable sometimes). So we're thinking of dropping some cash on some of those fiat-lux sensors and mouting them on whatever headgear we're wearing. Has anyone used them? Pros? Cons? Is the sensitivity comparable to the WoW starsensor? Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.
