Just needs a 1.843200 Mhz crystal, and a few peripheral components...can't work out why i can't get it to work. Perhaps i should just try and build the digigun cct (a schematic is provided for that.)

Have you also verified that the chip is programmed correctly ? I know its a dumb question but you never know :)
Also its useful if you are not sure you are getting output to use a hyperbright red led instead of an IR led to see if it works (a hyperbright will also set a sensor off from a few inches away so you can still make sure it hits).
