:: HOME :: 2003.09.11 New server. That
change required a new message board. New board has lots of new features.
2003.05.05 Ok, I've been updating little things without making note of them here. I recently added some info about TagCon Midwest 2003 on the main page and added a link and a while ago, I added some documents from the WoW days and a link to a news article on a tag club. Probably some other stuff, too, but I can't recall just what. For the historical
record, Lazer Tag brand stuff is long gone from shelves (it has been
a few years now), but there are several products available from ToyMax
in the Laser Challenge line. 2002.02.11 Corrected a "Visited
Links" bug on the message board reported by "Andy in Indy" http://www.fuzzycouch.com/lazertag/lazermsgs/.
2002.02.07 The New message
boards are up! Please bookmark the new boards at http://www.fuzzycouch.com/lazertag/lazermsgs/.
2002.02.06 Communicative is
shutting down at the end of February, so we are being forced to move
to a new server. Along with the new server comes a change of address.
We can now be found at http://www.fuzzycouch.com/lazertag.
We are starting out with a temporary message board. 2001.05.02 Tweaked some copy and replaced a missing graphic on the main page. Cleared out the message board again. Updated some of the links on the main page for Tag Con 2001.
2000.12.20 Updated and added
some links. Redesigned a couple things and tweaked some thing here and
there. Cleared out the message board again. Got rid of the Tag Con 2000
info and added the brief info on the next Tag Cons. 1999.05.10 Added pics of new Star Wars: Episode 1 Lazer Tag on "Equipment" page. Added a page of
Laser Challenge "hacks." I am willing to expand this section with some
help from experienced tag hackers. Send an email to guido
if you have something to add. 1999.03.31 It has been a while since I've done anything, partially because I've been trying to track down some info to post, but I've got some new stuff up now. Tiger sent a picture and press release, so I have now posted a new Tiger Lazer Tag product. It appears on the "Equipment" page. It is the Skeet Shoot. Interesting thing is that Tiger says this is the only Lazer Tag product coming out this year. 1999.01.28 I've been trying to contact the creators of Lock-On and Lazer Tag lately for some comments, but to no avail. The person I talked to at Playmates, the producers of Lock-On, said there isn't really anything to say. I guess it isn't a big line for them and they don't have any future plans for it as of now. 1999.01.11 Well, I spent all night adding games to the games page. I posted a link to the Player Database on the main page. If you use it, let us know what you think of the idea, and the execution. I think it has a few flaws, but it is also quite usable, too. 1999.01.07 In case you haven't noticed, the B.L.A.S.T has been marked down to $25 dollars at Wal-Mart recently. We've been working on a player database. Should be working soon. 1998.12.24 New nav (navigation) bar that includes several new pages. Updated the featured items on the home page. Thanks to all you Lazer Tag fans, we have gotten an average of 29 hits a day over the last 15 or so days. WOW, thanks again everyone! 1998.12.10 Updated the Lazer Tag Code page. 1998.12.04 Added FAQ Page because we get a lot of the same questions. 1998.12.03 Updated theLinks Page a little bit. 1998.09.01 Our previous host was recently sold to another company. We found that, because of this, our message board and counter stopped working. We quickly decided to finally make the move to shorten our name (something we had been thinking of doing), seeing as how we had to move anyway. Thanks to our new host, Communicative Web Design. 1998.08.07 Added some prices to the equipment that we have now seen in stores. 1998.07.25 After being contacted by Tiger Toys (yes, they contacted us), we were sent a preview book of the products Tiger will be selling this year. A handful of pages were devoted to the previously released and the soon-to-be-realeased '98-'99 Lazer Tag equipment. The new gear is much more elaborate and seems to be making a solid attempt at competing with Laser Challenge. We'll have to see about that when they arrive in stores. Having said the above, we added pics today, on the equipment page. Added a little snapshot of Lazer Tag history. Tell us if you enjoy that. Changed some links on the main page and added a link on the links page. Added some links to the message board for people who surf in directly to it (thanks to Dave Bodger's link directly to the board). Also cleaned it out a bit. Thinking about moving our site. Beware. We are also thinking about a FAQ. Also beware. 1998.04.11 Added a Links Page and added the banner for a webring to the home page. Have started changing some of the pages over to helvetica. It will probably be a while before they all get done. 1998.03.10 At the New York Toy Fair Hasbro, Inc. announced the acquisition of all operating assets and affiliates of Tiger Electronics, Inc. Tiger, the current producer of Lazer Tag equipment, was purchased for $335 Million. Tiger's Senior vice president Roger Schiffman and co-founder Randy Rissman will continue to run the company. With the same people in charge, we are uncertain that we will see a big difference in support or development of new lazer tag products. There is a greater possibility of support and development, considering the high standards of Hasbro. The facts of this were reported by Marc Dultz in the March 15, 1998, issue of "GameWEEK," a trade publication. 1997.09.28 Updated the equipment page to include information about 2 new Official Lazer Tag Products! A new Star Wars/Rebel version of Lazer Tag and a New Lazer Tag "Sport Pack" that comes with a Lazer Target!
1997.09.05 Radically updated products page, renaming it the equipment page. It should now load faster and it looks great, too. 1997.09.02 We have added a message board to automate postings of any Lazer Tag related topics including want ads, news, and gossip. A new VRML area (click here). This is a VRML representation of the new lazer tag gear produced by tiger toys. Now you know what to look for in the stores!! You may need to download a VRML plug in for your browser. Get the Best one from Silicon Graphics (if you are using Netscape Navigator 4.0 or greater you may already have COSMO PLAYER installed). This is cool.... We have added sounds of all of the classic Lazer Tag equipment to our page Click Here For Sounds Page! 1997.08.17 1997.08.14 We recently found out that Tiger Toys has picked up the copyright to Lazer Tag. |
